As some customers cars get older and more miles. rubber oem bushings wear out. Many people want to upgrade to harder urethane bushings. Urethane bushings are usually harder and solid in design. Increasing stiffness will decrease play or movement in bushing location.

Below are some rear trailing arm bushings from evo 9.

Notice oem bushing have areas where no rubber connects to housing. These openings are for flex and ride quality.

The new Urethane bushings are solid and much stiffer.

In the case of these evo 9 trailing arm bushings. The customer will notice that the rear car will track steering movements more accurately. These bushings will also help with rear brake efficiency. When braking these trailing arms will pull on chassis to slow the car (forward and back) Less movement will increase chassis to brake response.

All in all there are many advantages to urethane bushings. Note there are many types of bushings in your cars chassis all will affect in different ways.

If you need bushings installed call project import.
