Project Import went out Autoclub Speedway in May to attend a good showing at Redline Track Events Round 3. We brought out three cars this time, the Peaceful Warrior S2000 (modified rear wheel drive), Grocery Getter Accord (street front wheel drive) both driven by Bryan Friday, and Kevin Courtney’s Honda S2000 (street rear wheel drive).
We placed third again in both modified rear wheel drive and street front wheel drive (getting to be routine). We are excited about the points, but the S2000 still had problems all weekend. From problems with over boost due to the high speeds on track, to loosing oil pressure at the end of the weekend, we were disappointed again with the performance we put on. So we are getting set for Round 4, assessing the problems with the S2000 and changing the braking set up on the Accord. Hopefully we have everything ironed out before then.
